Description
Issued during the Fifth Republic (1958–date), the 10 Centimes coin circulated between 1962 and 2001 under the New Franc currency system (1960–2001). Struck in aluminium‑nickel bronze, this lightweight coin was a staple of everyday French commerce in the late 20th century.
With its milled edge, coin alignment ↑↓, and classic round design, the coin was widely used until it was demonetized on 17 February 2002, following France’s transition to the Euro. Today, it remains a collectible piece of French numismatic history.
