Issued by the Republic of Turkey (1923–date), the 1 Lira coin circulated between 2009 and 2022 under the New Lira currency system (2005–date). Struck in bimetallic composition with a copper‑nickel core and a brass ring, this coin reflects Turkey’s modern coinage design.
