25 Pesetas Torre del Oro
Issued under King Juan Carlos I (1975–2014), the 25 Pesetas coin was a circulating commemorative issue of 1992, struck in aluminium bronze (88.4% copper, 5% nickel, 5% aluminium, 1% iron, 0.6% manganese). Distinctive for its round shape with a central round hole, this coin was part of Spain’s numismatic tradition during the Peseta currency era (1868–2001).
With a milled edge, coin alignment ↑↓, and weighing 4.2 g, the coin measures 19.5 mm in diameter and 1.6 mm in thickness. It was demonetized on 28 February 2002, following Spain’s transition to the Euro. Today, it remains a collectible piece of modern Spanish numismatic history, valued for its unique design and commemorative significance.
