Description
10 Groszy
Issued during the Polish People’s Republic (1952–1989), this 10 Groszy coin circulated between 1961 and 1985 as part of the Third Zloty currency system (1949–1994). Struck in lightweight aluminium, it reflects the utilitarian design and economic conditions of mid‑20th century Poland.
With its milled edge, medal alignment ↑↑, and compact round shape, the coin was widely used until it was demonetized on 1 January 1995. Today, it stands as a collectible piece of Poland’s socialist‑era monetary history.
