Issued by the Bank of Korea (한국은행) during the Republic of Korea (1948–date), the 10 Won coin has been in circulation since 18 December 2006. Struck in copper‑clad aluminium (48% copper, 52% aluminium), this lightweight coin reflects South Korea’s modern approach to durable yet cost‑efficient coinage.
